Titel-Präzisierung: Eddy Cue neu Apples «SVP of Services»
Apples Top-Manager Eddy Cue hat einen neuen Titel. Bisher auf «Senior Vice President»-Stufe für «Internet Software and Services» zuständig, heisst Cues neuer offizieller Titel neu «Senior Vice President of Services». Mit dem Titel-Wechsel wird grösserer Fokus auf Apples aktuelles Dienstleitungsangebot gesetzt denn auf «Internet Software». Dies widerspiegelt sich auch in der neuen Beschreibung von Cues Kompetenzgebiet auf seiner Apple-Leadership-Webseite. Dort wird beispielsweise «Apple TV+» hervorgehoben, während «iTunes» nicht mehr explizit genannt wird.

Eddy Cue ist seit 1989 bei Apple. Er übersieht seit vielen Jahren Apples Diensteangebot und wurde vor einigen Jahren auch als möglicher Nachfolger für den damaligen CEO Steve Jobs gehandelt.
Die Dienste sind zu einem integralen Bestandteil von Apples Geschäftsmodell geworden. Mittlerweile unterhält das Unternehmen eine Vielzahl an Diensten – damit erwirtschaftete Apple im vergangenen Quartal 17.5 Milliarden US-Dollar, was 21.5 Prozent des Unternehmens-Umsatzes entspricht.
